I’m Gustav Scheel, a mixing and mastering engineer near Aarhus, Denmark and part of Tapetown. I master indie, folk and alternative records remotely, wherever you’re based.

Send the finished stereo mix.

Send your mix

Send the stereo mix and the version you have been listening to. We agree on a delivery date.

First master

I check the mix and work on the final tone, dynamics and level.

Approve

You listen. I make any final adjustment and deliver the files.

How should I export the mix?

Use the session sample rate and bit depth. Leave the final limiter off if possible and include your limited reference.

What if the balance needs work?

I will tell you if the record needs another pass at mixing or if stem mastering is a better fit.

Can you master a whole album?

Yes. Albums and EPs are quoted as one project.
