Choose stem mastering when the mix is close but a few balances still need work.

You send a small set of grouped stems. It gives me more control than stereo mastering.

I’m Gustav Scheel, a mixing and mastering engineer near Aarhus, Denmark and part of Tapetown. We work together remotely wherever you’re based.

How many stems should I send?

Usually four to eight. I will send exact instructions.

Can stem mastering fix everything?

No. If the full mix needs work, I will recommend mixing from the multitracks.

Do I send the stems right away?

No. Send the stereo mix first.
